Case 3: A study titled “Aligning Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) programs with the specializations required in the labor market within the context of digital transformation: a case study of the Eastern Region"


The study aimed to assess the alignment of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation's (TVTC) programs with the specializations required in the labor market within the context of digital transformation in the Eastern Region. It also sought to determine the extent of trainees' awareness of the importance of digital transformation and its impact on their future career. It also aimed to provide recommendations for improving alignment between TVTC's programs and the requirements of the labor market. The study used a descriptive analytical approach and relied on three questionnaires for data collection. Additionally, the study benefited from open data published about the training programs offered by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).

Key findings of the study are the following:

- Trainees are aware of the importance of digital transformation and its impact on their future career. They are also aware of the impact of acquiring digital technology skills on their future career

- Graduates agreed that the programs are in line with the digital transformation.

- The alignment of TVTC's programs with the specializations required in the labor market within the context of digital transformation from the perspective of economic enterprises. There is no gap, especially after planning to expand the training programs of TVTC.

Key recommendations of the study:

- Increasing focus on introducing trainees to the digital transformation program.

- Increasing the training of trainees on office digital technologies and equipping them with skills to work with digital devices, computers, as well as skills to handle big data and artificial intelligence.

-  Familiarize trainees with economic and social developments.

- Ensuring that trainees acquire the skills of report writing and digital handling of them.

- Ensuring that the graduation project is an opportunity to apply digital technologies.​
