Case 2: A study titled “The extent of adopting green training concepts in the training facilities of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in the Makkah Region"
The study aimed to investigate the extent of adopting green training concepts in training facilities of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in Makkah Region. A questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection, including three themes: (the extent of adopting green training, the possibility of implementing green training, and the obstacles of implementing green training). The study also utilized published open data on training facilities, their numbers, and the number of trainers.
Key findings of the study are the following:
- From the perspectives of trainers, there is a moderate level of implementing green training in training facilities.
- There is a moderate level of feasibility for implementing green training in training facilities.
- The main obstacles to implementing green training include a lack of awareness within the facility about the concept of green training, insufficient skills among employees to implement green training within the facility, and the high cost of executing green training initiatives.
Key recommendations of the study:
- Increasing awareness within the facility of the concept of green training.
- Providing employees with the necessary skills to implement green training within the facility.
- Reducing the cost of executing green training initiatives.
- Granting more authority to the facility management for implementing green training.
