Case 1: A study titled “Evaluating the experience of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in remote training"
The study aimed to evaluate the experience of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in remote training from the perspectives of both trainees and training staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. It focused on assessing the satisfactions level of male and female trainees, as well as trainers, regarding the experience of remote training in training facilities. In addition, the study sought to identify the most prominent difficulties and challenges facing the remote training process from the same sample group's perspective. The study relied on the descriptive survey method and utilized questionnaires as a tool for data collection.
This study utilized the data provided by the open data published by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), such as the number of trainees and trainers, as well as data related to remote training in terms of statistics resulting from the e-learning management.
Key findings of the study are the following:
- There are positive attitudes among trainees and trainers towards the personal and academic skills acquired in distance training.
- There are positive attitudes among trainees and trainers toward the e-content in remote training.
- There is a high level of satisfaction with the availability of infrastructure for remote training.
- One of the main challenges in remote training was the high cost of computers and smart devices, as well as the expensive internet subscription fees.
Key recommendations of the study:
- Conducting workshops and training courses for trainees and trainers on how to use educational platforms and remote training tools.
- Benefiting from the experiences of other countries that successfully implemented remote education during the pandemic.
- Conducting continues studies in the field of remote training to measure the impact of remote training on the training process.
