The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) signed two agreements on Monday with the UK Department for Business and Trade and the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC). The agreements were signed on the sidelines of the second Human Capability Initiative Conference, held in Riyadh under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Human Capability Development Program .
In this context, Dr. Adel bin Hamad Al-Zunaidi, Deputy Governor for Training, on behalf of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Her Excellency Ms. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the field of technical and vocational training and developing it, and establishing joint initiatives to improve institutional and human resource capacities in technical and vocational training institutions, within the framework of the Vocational Education and Training Programme for Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The Memorandum also includes the exchange of information, research ideas, statistics, publications, best practices, expertise, and technical materials on relevant topics.
The Acting Deputy Governor of the Corporation for Training and Quality Policies, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Marwani, signed an executive program with Mr. Robert Daniels, Director of Services and Skills at the British Department for Business and Trade, with the aim of encouraging the hosting of joint conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibitions, and the exchange of policies and expertise, in addition to cooperation in developing and implementing technical and vocational training policies, improving the quality of technical and vocational training on both sides. The program also aims to establishing a government council to supervise and follow up on the implementation of areas of cooperation according to the program.
