The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) issued 46 new licenses for private training institutes in January of this year to provide training services in various fields.
TVTC spokesperson Fahd Al-Otaibi stated that the corporation is committed to supporting and enhancing the sustainability of the private training sector in the Kingdom by offering numerous facilitations and incentives to promote its growth while ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
He added that these regulations also govern the licensing of individuals wishing to offer training programs through the Certified Trainer Service, which issued 49 trainer cards last month. This initiative enables trainers to conduct training activities and deliver programs within TVTC-licensed institutions.
Al-Otaibi emphasized that TVTC continues to play a supervisory role in the private training sector to ensure training quality and operational compliance. This includes inspection visits and responding to concerns raised by beneficiaries. In the same period, 53 violations and warnings were issued to private institutes, with actions taken as per regulations.
The violations recorded last month included non-compliance with advertising regulations, improper contract terms for development courses, issuance of unauthorized certificates, absence from licensed premises, and employment of unapproved trainers.
It is noteworthy that TVTC conducts monthly assessments for trainees in private training centers and institutes to ensure the quality of outcomes. During the same period, a total of 7,174 trainees took the comprehensive and qualification exams.
