The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation announced that the number of its employees and trainees participating in local and international volunteer programs exceeded 10 thousand volunteers in 2024.
Fahd Al-Otaibi, TVTC’s official spokesperson, clarified that the efforts made by the Corporation's employees in volunteer work during the past year varied between local and international activities. The Corporation, in cooperation with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, implemented ten external volunteer training programs in several countries: Jordan, Turkey, Chad, and Indonesia. The programs included 62 external training workshops, implemented by 71 male and female trainers, benefiting 1,860 beneficiaries, with a total of 5,680 volunteer hours.
Al-Otaibi added that the external volunteer maintenance program was also implemented in Yemen, covering carpentry, decoration, painting, electrical, and plumbing work, with a total of 640 volunteer hours.
The official spokesperson explained that the internal volunteer work programs included the Hajj season, the volunteer maintenance program “Tekani Al-Ataa” (Technical Giving), the community volunteer teams (Aoun), and the scout teams. 4,276 volunteer opportunities were provided, contributing to a total of 328,122 volunteer hours, with the participation of 10,459 male and female volunteers.
It is worth noting that the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) was honored by His Excellency the Minister of Education in recognition of achieving the national volunteer target for 2024 in the technical and vocational training program. This reflects its excellence in institutional performance as a result of the internal and external volunteer programs and initiatives implemented by the Corporation.
