As part of its efforts to enhance the inclusivity of services provided to trainees who are deaf or hard of hearing, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) has launched a public consultation on the platform X (formerly Twitter). The initiative aims to gather feedback from beneficiaries regarding priority areas for improving the training environment to better suit their specific needs, thereby enhancing their overall training experience and more effectively meeting their expectations.
The consultation focuses on the following question: "In your opinion, which services should be developed using sign language to support deaf trainees in technical colleges?" The options provided include electronic services, regulations and policies, as well as educational content, workshops, and skills-based programs.
The survey is currently ongoing. Through this initiative, TVTC seeks to foster digital engagement to improve the training environment for the deaf trainees, while increasing the accessibility of services, content, and training programs via sign language—ultimately enhancing the quality of their training experience and promoting equal opportunity.
