Within the objectives and strategy of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) in promoting positive interaction, developing scout work skills, discovering the talents and capabilities of trainees, and achieving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's vision 2030 to build a vibrant society and encourage and improve national scout work; the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, represented by the General Directorate of Activities, launched the "Messengers of Peace for Technical Scout Excellence" competition, which is organized by the General Directorate of Technical and Vocational Training in the Najran region, during the period from 24-28 Shawwal 1444 AH corresponding to 14-18 May 2023, with the participation of more than 200 rangers from training facilities affiliated with TVTC in various regions of the Kingdom.

The Director General of the General Directorate of Activities at TVTC, Engineer Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Duhailan, indicated that this competition comes within the central programs of the General Directorate of Activities for the year 2023 AD, which is supported by His Excellency the Governor of TVTC, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid.

Al-Duhailan added that this competition, which is sponsored and co-launched by the Trainees Fund, aims to develop the integrated personality of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation's rangers by enhancing the interaction skills and positive participation of the trainees, discovering their talents and abilities, achieving quality in scouting work and exchanging experiences between them.

Al-Duhailan indicated that the competition is based on 5 basic principles, as it is based on contributing to the realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 (a vibrant society, a prosperous economy, an ambitious homeland), while the second principle is based on scouting principles (performing duty towards Allah - towards oneself - towards others), and the third is activating the scouting method, while the fourth is based on project-based learning, and the fifth is the production of 39 community initiatives that include training facilities or the local community.

The competition consists of 4 branches whose divisions are derived from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in creating an ambitious homeland, a prosperous economy and a vibrant society.

The 4 branches consist of "an ambitious homeland" as the first branch and it includes competitions and initiatives in social responsibilities, cyber security and transparency. The second branch is "a prosperous economy" which includes technical and vocational training, self-employment, and local tourism. The third branch, “A Vibrant Society” will consist of kinship ties, sports, and pride in the Saudi national heritage. The fourth and final branch includes scouting skills and arts such as camping, pioneering work, outdoor parties, and outdoor navigation.
