The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation is implementing a package of volunteer and scouting programs during the holy month of Ramadan this year with the participation of more than 500 male and female volunteers, to serve pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, in addition to volunteer programs to serve community members in various regions of the Kingdom.
TVTC official spokesman, Fahd Al-Otaibi, clarified that the plan that the Corporation is working to implement through its volunteer and scouting teams and in cooperation with relevant authorities reflects its commitment to its societal role and providing services to all beneficiaries from citizens and visitors to the holy sites during the holy month.
Al-Otaibi added that the Corporation is implementing the “Technical Aid” program during the current month of Ramadan in cooperation with the General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque and a number of other entities with the aim of providing various public services such as assisting the elderly, guiding the lost, participating in organizing entry and exit from the Two Holy Mosques, providing first aid to the injured, distributing water to the guests, caring for the Qur’an, serving the disabled, and organizing worshipers; noting that volunteer work during the holy month will also include border crossings through the “Technical Giving” program, which will focus on providing maintenance for the vehicles of the guests at some border crossings in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
The volunteer teams of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation will provide regional volunteer programs in various regions, most notably home maintenance, and mosque maintenance, in cooperation with the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance. In addition, the teams will implement volunteer programs at the level of the training facilities affiliated with the Corporation spread throughout the regions of the Kingdom, such as distributing food baskets, distributing Iftar meals to fasting people, participating in preparing and organizing Iftar meals, and distributing drinking water, in cooperation with some supporting charitable societies.
