The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation clarified that the number of those accepted in technical colleges and secondary industrial, architectural and construction institutes in the first semester of this year amounted to 64,855 trainees.

The Deputy Governor of the Corporation for Training, Dr. Adel Al-Zunaidi, confirmed that TVTC is working to implement plans to expand admission to training facilities on an annual basis and increase the capacity to accept high school graduates, as 4 new technical colleges were inaugurated at the beginning of this semester: the Digital Technical College for Girls in Tabuk, the Technical College for Girls in Sharurah, the Technical College for Girls in Umluj, and also the Technical College for Boys in Al-Khurmah.

Al-Zunaidi pointed out that the number of trainees in colleges and institutes currently amounts to 209,442 male and female trainees; and before the start of the training year, training facilities implemented programs to prepare new trainees with the aim of helping them adapt to the new training environment, familiarizing them with their rights and duties as male and female trainees, recognizing regulations and systems followed in colleges and institutes, forming positive attitudes towards technical and professional work, and realizing future career paths after graduation.

It is worth noting that the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation began implementing the two-semester system since the beginning of the current first semester, after it worked early during the past period on the procedures for converting training to the two-semester system to ensure a smooth and easy start for training from the first day of this year. These preparations included updating the guides, regulations, frameworks and training plans for all specializations and reflecting them on the training systems used in the facilities, which were updated and developed. Preparations also included ensuring the readiness of the technical infrastructure in addition to completing the equipment and maintenance work in the training facilities.
