The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) has implemented four phases of the Project to Measure the Quality of Technical College Outcomes (for both male and female colleges and their branches). The project aims to improve the quality of technical training programs and enhance their outcomes to meet labor market needs, with a total of 47,054 trainees benefiting from it so far.
TVTC’s official spokesperson, Fahad Al-Otaibi, explained that in the fourth phase, the project was carried out in 141 technical colleges and branches, where a total of 92,825 tests were administered.
Al-Otaibi added that the tests measure the knowledge, skills, and specialized competencies acquired by trainees, in addition to personal attributes such as discipline, communication, teamwork, and other qualities required in the workplace. So far, the quality of outcomes has been measured for 43 different specializations.
It is worth noting that the TVTC plans to expand the project to include a larger number of trainees. These assessments are conducted electronically through the e-Training platform, with one test held each semester. The results help enhance and develop training plans and curricula to better align with the needs of the labor market.
