The Board of Directors of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation held on Monday its 119th meeting, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Education and Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, and in the presence of the Board members, including representatives of government agencies and the private sector.
At the beginning of the session, His Excellency the Minister of Education extended his deepest thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the generous government support for the education and training system.
The Board discussed several topics, most notably the basic regulations for training and evaluation in light of the Board’s decision in its previous session to switch from the three-semester system to the two-semester system, reviewing the acceptance rates in training facilities during the second and third semesters of the current training year, and discussing the Corporation’s annual report for the year 2023 AD.
Before the meeting, His Excellency the Minister and members of the Board of Directors toured the exhibition held at TVTC’s headquarters with the aim of highlighting the Corporation’s efforts to adapt to the needs of the labor market, through implementing the initiative “Evaluating Employment Rates for Technical and Vocational Training Programs and Reviewing Training Specializations,” which is one of the initiatives of the Human Capabilities Development Program.
