The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is contributing, as part of an integrated system of government agencies, to serving pilgrims during this year's Hajj season of 1447 AH. This is being done in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques, the Ministry of Interior, and other relevant bodies. More than 2,000 male and female trainees and 24 male and female scout leaders from various technical colleges for men and women and secondary industrial institutes are participating in the TVTC's programs and initiatives this season.
The Deputy Governor for Training, Dr. Adel bin Hamad Al-Zunaidi, emphasized that the TVTC's participation in the program to serve pilgrims is a national duty that all participants are honored to perform. Furthermore, it is one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030, in which the TVTC actively participates and integrates into its operational plans at various levels. He added that the Corporation is participating with 69 scout and volunteer teams in providing various services within the "Technical Giving" programs and initiatives across a network of locations covering pilgrim routes, public service camps for pilgrims, the holy sites and the Two Holy Mosques.
The Deputy for Training clarified that the package of services provided during the Hajj season includes: inspection and maintenance of buses and vehicles, and maintenance of mosques and facilities. This also includes distributing awareness brochures, informational posters, medical and personal supplies, and gifts. Furthermore, the Corporation provides technical and logistical consultations to participating service facilities, in addition to organizing, guiding, monitoring, and managing pilgrim flow, and offering assistance to the elderly, the disabled, and those with special needs to facilitate their performance of the rituals.
It is worth noting that the plans for the scout and volunteer teams' participation in the Hajj season are finalized well in advance of the year, with the opportunity for those wishing to participate being given until the beginning of Dhul-Hijjah. The number of participants increases significantly each year. Participants are prepared and provided with the skills and guidance issued by the competent authorities, and everything that can contribute to providing appropriate services to the pilgrims so that they can perform the Hajj pilgrimage with ease and convenience.
