Technical Training Implements Programs to Support Entrepreneurship in Technical Colleges and Institutes

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation implemented several programs aimed at supporting the field of entrepreneurship and spreading the culture of freelancing in technical colleges and institutes, coinciding with the Global Entrepreneurship Week, which is activated in November of each year.

The programs and activities varied, starting with workshops and training courses provided to trainees in training facilities, the number of which exceeds 200 colleges and institutes in various regions of the Kingdom, the most prominent of which are the program "How to Start Your Small Business" and "Basics of Freelancing", passing through the integrated programs in the entrepreneurship forums held in colleges and institutes, which focused on several topics such as "Introduction to Entrepreneurship" and "Self-Management for a Successful Entrepreneur" and "How to Create a Personal Brand" and "How to Transform Your Skills into Freelancing", and these forums were accompanied by exhibitions in which trainees presented their own projects.

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation recently completed the fourth phase of the “Developing Entrepreneurial Capabilities for Technical and Vocational Trainees” initiative, where the programs implemented in the initiative included a variety of training fields, as they included 14 specialized programs in professional project management, and two programs in the introduction to entrepreneurship, in addition to 3 programs focused on creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship, directed to members of the training staff in 142 technical colleges and their branches distributed over 13 regions in the Kingdom. 4,259 members of the training staff participated in these programs. 

Several programs were activated via the partnership between the Corporation and the National Entrepreneurship Institute to support the graduates of colleges and institutes in the field of entrepreneurship, as the number of beneficiaries of the training programs provided by the Institute to graduates in the first half of this year reached 101 beneficiaries, while the number of projects opened for beneficiaries reached 86 projects.
