The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation announced that the number of male and female trainees in technical colleges registered in the Rafid Initiative reached 13,951 male and female trainees in 2023.

The Corporation clarified that this initiative aims to support the recruitment of male and female trainees of technical colleges in the labor market before graduation, which enhances their access to job opportunities after graduation. Also, they are exempted from cooperative training during the training period at the college, as practical training in the labor market is one of the most important pillars of the success of technical training programs. Therefore, the Corporation worked to develop it and link trainees to the labor market directly.

The Corporation added that through the Rafid Initiative, 468 male and female trainees joined the labor market before graduation last year, while the number of trainees exempted from cooperative training reached 148 male and female trainees.

It is worth noting that the Rafid initiative includes many benefits for male and female trainees in technical colleges; most notably: registering the trainee in the social insurance system during the training period. The technical colleges also honor those who have the highest working hours at the end of the training semester.
