As part of implementing the memorandum of understanding signed in the field of technical and vocational training between the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, 34 members and leaders from TVTC are participating in a workshop organized by the Chinese side from October 15 to 30 in China, titled “Cooperation in Technical and Vocational Education and Training between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China.”
The event comes as a step to enhance the growing partnership between Saudi Arabia and China, and to support the development of the training system and the building of national competencies in the Kingdom, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The workshop focuses on several key themes, including: an overview of the national situation in China, economic and trade cooperation between China and Arab countries, as well as topics such as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, industrial opportunities in the new era, the current state of artificial intelligence and technological applications in the digital age, and smart city development.
It is noteworthy that the joint workshop between the two sides is held annually in two phases — the first in China and the second in Saudi Arabia. In its third edition this year, the workshop is expected to continue its second phase in November, covering a number of themes related to the development of the technical and vocational training sector.
