TVTC Holds a Workshop in the Presence of Technical and Vocational Training Officials of the Gulf Countries in Al-Ula Governorate

His Excellency the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, chaired a meeting which brought together representatives of the technical training from the Gulf countries and a number of the Corporation’s senior officials in Al-Ula Governorate, which was held over the course of three days during which distinguished experiences in technical and vocational training were reviewed.

TVTC presented its experience during the Corona pandemic and reviewed the Saudi strategy for technical and vocational training and its connection to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

 The attendees were briefed about the Corporation’s role in facilitating the investor’s venture in private training, and its distinguished experiences in developing curricula based on the needs of the labor market. The attendees listened to the Corporation’s experience in expanding Its strategic partnerships and international partnership opportunities in the field of technical and vocational training.

The experiences of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman in the field of technical and vocational training were reviewed.

A training course entitled Digital Transformation and Institutional Innovation was implemented over a period of three days. 

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency the Governor of Technical and Vocational Training, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, thanked the representatives of technical training in the Gulf countries for attending the meeting and sharing their distinguished experiences, which will contribute to the development of the technical and vocational training sector in the GCC countries, and stressed the Corporation 's keenness to achieve its goals and benefit from all available aspects and capabilities to be in line with current and future trends that require the development of human capabilities in the promising sectors on which Saudi Vision 2030 depends on.
 
His Excellency stressed the importance of continuing cooperation, coordination and exchange of experiences in developing the technical and vocational training system, which will benefit the youth of the GCC countries and, God willing, will enhance the international status of the GCC countries.

For his part, the Director General of International Cooperation, Eng. Sultan Al-Sunaie, stressed the importance of holding these meetings to exchange expertise and experiences in a number of fields, which will help develop technical and professional work in the region and will provide opportunities for cooperation in a number of fields and will contribute to achieving a system of integration and joint cooperation in the GCC countries.

In a speech given by the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, they thanked the Corporation for this hosting in a historical and ancient governorate such as Al-Ula. They praised the axes of the workshop and the distinguished experiences that will enrich the training field in the Gulf countries.

 For her part, Dr. Rawda Al-Zaidan, Advisor to His Excellency the Qatari Minister of Education for the technical and vocational training portfolio, thanked TVTC for its efforts in holding this workshop and reviewing important experiences and valuable information, wishing everyone success. On the other hand, Dr. Khaled Al-Busaidi, Director General of Technical Education in the Sultanate of Oman, thanked the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation in Saudi Arabia for the organizing, reception, and providing distinguished expertise and experiences from the Kingdom by the brothers and sisters in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, hoping that these workshops and experiences will benefit the technical and vocational training in the GCC countries.
