TVTC gains Two Awards in E-Government Transactions

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) gained achievement award for e-Government transactions in its first session in the branch (electronic pioneering), and gained e-Government transformation measurement mechanism award granted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology after its competition with other government agencies.

 

 On this occasion, HE the governor of TVTC extended his thanks and appreciation to the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz for his interest and support for the technical and vocational training sector, which contributed in accomplishing many of the achievements on the qualitative and quantitative level in the field of electronic transactions.

 


 The two awards received by HE the governor, Dr. Ali Bin Nasser Al-Ghafis during the 2nd national conference for electronic transactions, which was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz on Sunday, 17/10/1431H at Four Seasons Hotel in Riyadh.
Dr. Al-Ghafis thanked the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for granting the corporation two awards, noting that all employees of the corporation are involved in winning these awards, which will give more to develop work mechanisms electronically.

 


For his part, Eng Abdullah Al-Haghbani, Director of General Directorate of Information Technology in the corporation, pointed out that the corporation is one of the leading governmental agencies in the field of information technology, where it came in the first place in the training and education field in the kingdom and came in the second place among 148 of the government agencies.
He added that the large expansion in providing the online services to beneficiaries inside and outside the corporation has necessitated providing high efficiency and expandable servers and adopting virtual servers to keep pace with the rapid growth in the size of databases and online services.  
The Director of Information Technology mentioned that the corporation in its quest to complete electronic transactions applied a number of online services, including:
1- Unified Admission Service for technical colleges and higher technical institutions for girls (more than fifty colleges and institutes in various cities of the Kingdom).
2- Mechanic Tables (Creating training tables for trainers and trainees and the General Schedule and send messages to the trainees to get their schedules before the start of training).
3- Trainees Portal which serve more than one hundred and twenty thousand trainees (to provide all services for the trainer - schedules - results - attendance and leave - bonuses - fill out forms to assess the level of the curriculum and the trainer and evaluation mechanisms for each subject - e-mail with a capacity of 10 GB and storage space on the Internet with a capacity of 25 GB, and an interactive workspace for projects and other services).
4- Central System of Institutes (an integrated system that contains many of online services to serve more than seventy institutes which manage the training process starting from entering the trainee till releasing him).
5- Finishing trainee’s rewards procedures to more than one hundred and fifty and training units in the various cities and provinces in the Kingdom, and issuing credit cards and connection with the trainee’s accounts in the bank.
6- Building a comprehensive integrated electronic portal of the corporation (150 website) to be a major source in providing services and information for users and visitors and unifying the websites of councils, departments and units, with customized templates to commensurate with the institutional work through the content management system.
7- Set up an internal portal for the employees to provide online services such as applying for training programs and transport movement and improving the evaluation and work performance.
8- Link the corporation’s outputs with labor market and providing the job opportunities for graduates through Mihna website for recruitment.
9- Applying for administrative and training jobs (male and female) and receiving the applications, sorting and nominating process will be automatically, and with high transparency.
10- Request for funding small and medium enterprises and accessing pioneer programs.
11- A comprehensive system for vocational examination and issuing vocational card through integrated online services.
12- Virtual Office which connect the corporation through internet to anywhere in the world. Many of online services are provided such as (send and receive of phone call- voice mail- electronic fax).
13- Holding conferences, meetings, training and facilitating transactions by using distance technique by computer.

It is mentioned that the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation has provided many of technical initiatives that contributed in providing excellent work environment for its employees, to develop their performance, and raise the level of transparency in the services provided. This is contributed in increasing the satisfaction of employees and the applicants from outside the corporation, in addition to providing a rich database for information and accurate statistical reports.
