The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation elaborated on the implementation of several programs and activities to contribute to activating the Green Saudi Arabia Initiative, as the number of trees planted in its training facilities reached 35,850 trees since the start of implementing its plan in the middle of last year aimed at contributing to the implementation of the Green Saudi Arabia Initiative.
The Corporation's efforts in this regard are diverse, as it launched the Green Training Facilities Initiative, after signing a cooperation agreement with the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, with the aim of planting trees in the internal and external courtyards of the 116 targeted training facilities in various regions, and spreading the natural vegetation cover suitable for each region. The Corporation aims to plant 63,850 trees in four stages, three of which have been implemented so far in 7 regions in the Kingdom.
On the other hand, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation has paid attention to spreading awareness of the importance of the Saudi Green Initiative and the necessity of participating in achieving its noble goals. It has activated the Saudi Green Clubs in its training facilities, numbering 74 clubs so far, and they are operated by volunteer teams of the Corporation's employees and trainees, including 340 members who contribute to spreading and enhancing awareness in this regard. Trainees, both male and female, in colleges and institutes are also encouraged through these clubs to innovate and create in the field of tree planting and the environment, and to be provided with the necessary support, which has contributed to the achievement of 10 innovative projects and solutions in this field..
