The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) announced that the number of applicants accepted into its training programs across facilities located in cities and governorates throughout the Kingdom for the first semester of the 1448 AH training year has reached 95,282 trainees.
Dr. Adel bin Hamad Al-Zunaidi, Deputy Governor for Training, stated that the Corporation has recorded an unprecedented number of admissions this year across its various training programs. A total of 73,867 trainees were accepted into technical college diploma programs for men and women, while 13,243 applicants were admitted to secondary industrial institute diploma and training programs. Additionally, 8,172 trainees were accepted into the intensive English language program.
The Deputy Governor emphasized that the annual increase in admission capacity is based on carefully studied plans that align material and human resources with evolving needs, all while maintaining training quality standards. This effort falls under the "Capacity Expansion" initiative, one of the Corporation's contributions to the Human Capability Development Program.
He added that training facilities had finalized preparations to welcome trainees well in advance of the semester's start, ensuring a smooth and seamless launch of training from day one. These preparations included verifying the readiness of technical infrastructure and completing equipment and maintenance work at the facilities in accordance with the approved schedule.
It is worth noting that new trainees were oriented at the start of the training semester through the "New Trainee Orientation" program. This program helps them adapt to the new training environment and acquaints them with their rights and responsibilities, as well as the regulations and policies governing training facilities. Additionally, it fosters positive attitudes toward professional work and the employment opportunities expected after graduation.
