Technical Training Qualifies 4,259 Training Staff Members to Provide Entrepreneurship Programs in Technical Colleges and their Branches

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation implemented a number of training programs within the "Developing Entrepreneurship Capacities for Technical and Vocational Trainees" initiative. These training programs aimed to develop human cadres by preparing and qualifying training staff members in technical colleges and their branches in response to the renewed training needs according to the updated entrepreneurship curricula, as they included the implementation of 19 training programs directed at training staff members in 142 technical colleges and their branches distributed over 13 geographical regions in the Kingdom, with the participation of 4,259 training staff members.

The programs implemented during the summer vacation included a variety of training fields, as they included specialized programs in professional project management, programs in the introduction to entrepreneurship, in addition to programs focused on creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship.

In this context, the Deputy Governor for Training at the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Adel Al-Zunaidi, confirmed that “the implemented programs represent an essential part of the Corporation’s ongoing efforts to develop the skills of male and female trainers in vital fields. These programs will contribute to enhancing the quality of training provided in technical colleges and achieving the goals of the Human Capacity Development Program, one of the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

Dr. Al-Zunaidi added that “this phase witnessed the benefit of 1,043 male and female trainers from the Entrepreneurship Introduction Program, while 589 members of the training body participated in the creativity and innovation programs, and 2,627 male and female trainers benefited from the Project Management Program. During the coming period, the entrepreneurship courses that were developed in the first phase of the initiative will be implemented, which will cover 21 specialized fields under the supervision of experts from the labor market.”

This initiative comes within the framework of the efforts of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation to enhance the innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities of male and female trainees, and to raise the quality of training by developing the skills of training staff members, which contributes to achieving the Corporation’s goals in preparing national cadres capable of leading pioneering projects.
