In coordination with a number of related sectors and through planning and camps, TVTC began its participation in the Hajj season of this year 1443 AH. The participation aims to provide pilgrims with distinguished services, such as: contributing in guiding lost pilgrims in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah; monitoring the markets in cooperation with Makkah Municipality; organizing the entry and exit of the beneficiaries of Adahi project in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank; monitoring product prices and expiration dates for food products in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce; organizing the entry and exit of patients to hospitals and medical clinics in the Holy Sites in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
This year, TVTC participates in Hajj with 15 scout troops from the Technical Colleges scouts as each troop consists of 16 scouts. The industrial institutes also take part with 5 troops as each troop consists of 15 scouts. A group of 15 scouts and a scout leader participates from the women's scouting. The total number of participants is 336 scouts and scout leaders.
The Governor of TVTC, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahad Al-Fuhaid, explained that TVTC participation in the Hajj season was an implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to provide comfort services to the pilgrims in cooperation with a number of ministries. He stressed (emphasized) that TVTC is keen to develop and provide different services during the Hajj seasons. He also pointed out that the preparations for participating in this year's Hajj began early, as the plan was approved in this regard and began with qualifying and training the participating teams, whether within Makkah region in the Holy Sites or at the border crossings.
It is noteworthy that TVTC was keen to prepare the participants physically, psychologically and develop their skills by setting up a preparatory camp for 3 days for its employees and trainees who are participating in the Hajj. This camp includes a number of programs, which were prepared by a number of scout leaders at TVTC and specialists. These programs include (Rescue course; Principles and Foundations of Dealing with Others Course; Survey and Guidance Skills Course; Civil Defense skills Course; First Aid Course; Scout Skills Course). Moreover, a number of scout leaders at TVTC and specialists had prepared and implemented guiding maps in cooperation with the Saudi Arabia Scouts Association.
