TVTC and Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University Sign a Memorandum of Understanding Aiming to Develop Transformation and Bridging Program and Support Talent and Innovation

From the directives of the wise leadership to cooperate within educational and training institutions and support the policies of integration between them, and from the standpoint of cooperation and activating the role of education and training policies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in various fields. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, and the President of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Amiri.

The MoU included mutual cooperation, benefiting from academic and training experiences, developing a transfer and bridging program for male and female students and trainees between technical colleges and the university, exchanging expertise of manpower, and coordinating with regard to the disciplines required by the labor market. The MoU also came to confirm cooperation between the two parties in the fields of talent and innovation, participation in forums and seminars, providing opportunities for cooperative training, and practical application for the outputs of both parties.

His Excellency the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, clarified that the agreement stems from the directives of the wise leadership regarding cooperation between educational and training institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the support of integration policies between them. He also mentioned that such agreements achieve the optimum benefit from the academic and training experiences, serve the bridging program, develop the innovative side, and support talent and innovation.

His Excellency the Governor indicated that TVTC signed memoranda of understanding with many Saudi universities to cooperate in the training and technical fields and exchange of experiences. In addition, it signed agreements with government entities in many fields, most notably, information technology; and also signed agreements to strengthen partnership with the private sector in order to invest in human capital to achieve aspirations of the Kingdom's vision 2030.

From his side, the President of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, H.E. Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Amiri, explained that this MoU stems from the university’s role in activating social partnership and responsibility, in cooperation with educational and training institutions in the Kingdom, supporting policies of integration between them, activating the role of education and training policies, and exchanging scientific and practical expertise that serves both parties. He pointed out that the fields mentioned in the MoU serve a large segment, especially in the disciplines needed by the TVTC and university's students, and hence the labor market in the Kingdom. He added that cooperation will be made to develop those fields since they are highly significant and have a sustainable impact if they were applied in accordance with the aspirations of the wise leadership.
