Over 100 young Saudis who have graduated from a vocational course in haircutting from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) have set up shop in Mina to cut pilgrims’ hair.

As part of the Municipality of Makkah’s eagerness to ensure all haircutting and shaving is carried out safely, a special location has been set up at Al-Bay’aa Square east of the Jamrat Bridge.

Makkah Mayor Osama Al-Bar visited the location and received a detailed report about preparations for the haircutting. He also praised the role of TVTC in supporting Saudi youth.

Rashed A-Zahrani, head of TVTC in Makkah, said young Saudis are eager to work in this profession. He said that the corporation provides Saudis with training in various trades and they are given monthly stipends of SR800.
