TVTC Wins MEED Quality Award for Madinah College' Project  24/03/1432 
 

 

The Middle East Economic Information Provider, MEED, has announced the names of “MEED Quality Awards for Projects, Gulf Countries Phase 1”. The Madinah College of Technology affiliated to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, has won the Quality Award of the Social Projects and also of the technology Projects in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

 

The Director General of Projects and Maintenance at the TVTC Dr. Ahmed Al-Fihaid said “The attention to quality in all phases of the project by all those who supervised this project and all projects of the TVTC is the most important feature that led us to win this award in the Kingdom” “it also comes as a result of the attention being paid by the TVTC to all it projects” the Director General added.

 

On his part the Chairman of MEED Quality Awards for Projects Edmund O'Sullivan said “ I am pleased to announce that Madinah College of Technology project is one of the projects that well-deserved winning the Award in the category of social projects and the category of technical projects in the Kingdom”.

 

The Jury of the award consisted of independent experts drawn from all Gulf Cooperation Council Countries. A ceremony for giving the prizes will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain on the 22nd March at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai. These awards are supported by Bahrain Engineers Society, Kuwait Engineers Society, Omani Engineers Society, Qatari Engineers Society, Saudi Engineers Authority and Emirati Engineers Society.

 

Projects nominated for MEED Quality Awards were required to demonstrate excellence in economic and social master-planning, architecture and design, as well as engineering, construction and sustainability. The winners of the national awards have been recommended by members of the MEED Quality Awards Projects judging panel.

 

The award categories are oil and gas, power and water desalination, water and water reuse, transport, industry, social, tourism and leisure, as well as buildings and mixed developments, and sustainability.
