Cooperation Agreement between TVTC and KACST Signed  27/02/1432 
 

 

King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) signed here today an agreement with the TVTC to establish and operate the “Higher Institute for Advanced Technology” at the City’s Headquarters in Riyadh. His Excellency the Governor of the TVTC, Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis and His Excellency President of King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology Dr. Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel had signed on behalf of their respective organizations.

 

This agreement aims at setting basic foundations for a strategic cooperation between the two sides in advanced technical and vocational training in addition to provide distinct training for Saudis in order to technically and scientifically qualify them for brighter carrier future. The agreement also aims at establishing a national base highly qualified for work in the present technological projects or any other future projects in the Kingdom.

 

The president of King Abdul Aziz City for Science and technology explained that signing this agreement is compatible with the Comprehensive National Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation which is supervised by the City and all Universities and Research Centers are cooperating to implement that plan.

 

His Excellency assured that this agreement meets the aspirations of the Saudi Government in activating the role of education and training in meeting the needs of aspired technological and scientific development.

 

 On his part, His Excellency the Governor of the TVTC Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis said that the agreement between the KACST and TVTC is a platform for a strategic cooperation between the two sides which will later enhance the training and vocational aspects.

 

Dr. Al-Ghafis added that the TVTC will, based on this agreement, allocate approved budgets within the National Plan for Science and Technology to establish and operate the Institute in addition to coordination with the Human Resources Fund to finance part of the operational costs and invite and encourage the targeted companies to employ graduates as a support and find suitable jobs.

 

It shall be noted that in accordance with this agreement the City will allocate a site on its plot in the Industrial Area near King Khalid Airport for the construction of the Institute.
