 Governor' National Day Speech  24/10/1432

The kingdom celebrates these days the occasion of its unification under the late King Abdulaziz bin Abdurrahman Al Faisal.

The Kingdom was able to develop socially and economically in an unprecedented way using all available means believing in its inherited values, virtues and principles drawn from the Islamic Religion.

Among the most important interests of the State was its interest in developing the human factor and upgrading its standard in addition to giving them the opportunity to actively take part in the comprehensive national development.

Among these interests was the State’s great support to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and activating its role in the national development. Therefore, this grand occasion comes at a time when great achievements were made in almost all spheres of life, making the country witness an unprecedented renaissance.

The Kingdom is now one of the developed countries in the world especially in the fields of technology and construction. The government spared no effort to develop and upgrade the technical and technological aspects of life in the Kingdom especially the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – May God Al Mighty Preserve Him- .

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has utilized all available resources and efforts to build this country and provide it with comprehensive development and community & cultural shift that have elevated it to the rank of developed societies living standard and discourse wise.

There is no doubt that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and since he was the Crown Prince took upon himself to support the training of Saudi youth and help in offering them employment in the various sectors and professions.

I seize this opportunity to congratulate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, first Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz and the Second Deputy Premier Prince Naïf bin Abdulaziz and the people of this country, on my behalf and on behalf of all the staff and trainees of the Technical and Vocational training Corporation.

I pray that God Al Mighty will help them to achieve all their good plans in the development of the Kingdom and its people.

The Technical and Vocational Corporation has already accomplished tremendous achievements in the past few years in the fields of technical and vocational training. It is striving hard to upgrade, develop and issue permits regarding technical and vocational training.

At present the TVTC is establishing and equipping more than 240 training institutions which are expected to contribute greatly in upgrading the technical and vocational training programs.

These new institutes will increase the TVTC training capacity to more than 300,000 trainees at the various cities, towns and provinces of the Kingdom.

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation has won the award of e-Government (Electronic Pioneers) and for the second time consecutively it won the (shift to e-government measurement award).

The TVTC also won the first place in the field of education and training and won the second place award for its role in developing and upgrading the efficiency of many of its services.

The TVTC also won the third place in the third report of eGovernment transformation.

The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation is very keen in cooperating with the private sector to implement specialized programs on the various parts of the business sectors. This program is known to be one of the most successful programs because it had achieved positive results which led to bridging the gap between the training sector and the employment sector.

It shall be noted that more than 500 scout leaders from the TVTC will take part in the National Day celebrations at KUST.

The TVTC will also hold various activities and event s on this national occasion at many of its training institutions all over the Kingdom. The activities include exhibitions, “Massirat Al Bina’a” procession which in all reflects the development process in the Kingdom.
