The Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Al bin Nasser Al-Ghafis has commended the Saudi skills team taking part in the 2nd Gulf Cooperation Council Countries Vocational Skills Competition, Sultanate of Oman who has won four gold and silver medals.
The Governor Said that this national achievement is an indication of the outstanding participation of the TVTC in the competition where the TVTC has presented its experience in vocational and technical training.
It should be noted that the TVTC usually selects the Saudi teams which take part in the GCC competitions. The vocational skills competition which was organized this year by the Sultanate of Oman has witnessed participants from the GCC countries competed in seven skills and lasted for 3 days.
The competitions were aimed at increasing the technological awareness in the GCC countries and also drawing the attention of communities in these countries to the importance of technological skills.
The next competition will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in November 2012.
