
Under the patronage of the President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA), His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman, the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation and Jabal Omar Company have signed a cooperative training program in the field of Hospitality.
The Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis and the Minister of Labor Eng. Adel Faqih and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jabal Omar Company Abdurrahman Faqih have attended the ceremony on Tuesday at Jeddah Hilton.
The Memorandum of Understanding in Training and Employment signed meets the aspirations of both parties in upgrading the level of training and Saudization of jobs. According to the agreement, Jabal Omar Company for Development will support training of Saudi manpower in the field of Hospitality and then employ the graduates of that field.

The Minister of Labor commended the TVTC management and thanked His Royal Highness prince Sultan bin Salman for patronizing the event. The Minister said that this type of partnership comes as a result of the TVTC’s believe that training programs and plans will not be effective if employers did not take part in planning the training work of the TVTC.
On his part, the Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis said that the TVTC aims to establish more colleges that work to qualify Saudi youth in the field of Hospitality and focusing on providing applied learning opportunities for trainees. The Governor stressed that the TVTC is trying to lay the foundation of a wide framework for development and employment of talented Saudi youth at Jabal Omar Company which owns about 26 Hotels in Makkah only.
Dr. Ali thanked the Company for its partnership with the TVTC and called on other companies to follow suit. It shall be noted that theTechnical and Vocational Training Corporation has a strategy of implementing joint training programs with local and international companies in order to gain experience and transfer technology into the country and train Saudi youth.
