The Ministry of Civil Service (MCS) has approved the diploma curricular of industrial secondary institutes and the architectural construction secondary institutes.

These new programs were developed to meet the growing needs of the mounting economy, technical development and social change being experienced by the Kingdom which calls for specialization in technical and vocational fields.

It shall be noted that the new diploma programs included finding new paths designed to accommodate the largest possible number of those who are interested in technical and vocational training.

The program was also designed to admit form one and form two secondary school leavers where new paths were opened for them to complete their training at these new institutions.

It shall also be noted that these new curricular are categorized by the government on the fifth grade step 1 and the disciplines are:-

 Digital  control devices, maintenance of machinery and industrial equipment, operating production machinery, metal foundry, vehicle engines, electronics maintenance and networks, metal sheet, heavy equipment, welding, electricity, civil construction, construction and architectural, survey and architectural drawing and other programs will be classified in the near future.
