Under the auspices of Dean of the college of Tourism and Hospitality, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al-Tammam and in the presence of a number of officials and employees of hotels in the central area of Madinah, the College organized a symposium under the slogan (Together to Fight Hunger) on World Food Day.

The seminar included a number of work papers concerning the importance of food and conservation of natural resources for food. A visual display showed the size of famine experienced by a number of poor countries around the world.
