The five-day forum is hosted by the Technical and Vocational Training Council in Makkah at the 2nd Industrial and Vocational Institute in Jeddah.

 The council's Chairman, Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani welcomed the audience of the forum and added that more than 80 chairmen and member are participating in the forum emphasizing the importance of activities in technical training environment, and its effective role in the acquisition of skills through extracurricular activities exercised by the trainee under the supervision of the heads of the activities.

On his part, the supervisor of activities at the General Directorate for Male Trainees Services affiliated to TVTC,  Mufarreh Bin Saadoun Al-Biheiran pointed out  that the forum, which was organized in cooperation with the General Directorate for Training Staff Services will conclude its activities by an open meeting with the Council’s Chairman to review the planning and implementation   through the development of plans and annual programs in addition to  preparation of technical manuals, competitions guides and records of the various activities and the activation of media for the various programs and related events.

 It is worth mentioning that the total number of vocational & industrial institutes in the Kingdom is 63 while the number of trainees (14,134). A variety of training programs in these institutes are provided to keep pace with skills and levels of training and rehabilitation, according to Saudi Vocational Qualifications System.
