His Excellency the Finish Minister of Trade, Dr. Bago Vairin accompanied with the Finish Ambassador in Riyadh Mr. Jarno Syria, have paid an official visit to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). At the premises of the Corporation, the honorable guest and his accompanying delegation were received by the Governor of the TVTC His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis and some of his senior officials.

During the visit, important issues were discussed. Among these issues was the cooperation between the two countries especially in the area of training. The Governor of the TVTC welcomed the Minister and stressed that his Corporation is quite keen in stimulating the cooperation between Finland and Saudi Arabia.

On his part the Finish Minister of Trade, Dr. Bago Vairin and his accompanying delegation, has commended the Saudi experiment in technical and vocational training stressing that their country is keen in activating cooperation with Saudi Arabia. It shall be noted that the visit came in the framework of the present cooperation between the two countries when the Governor of the TVTC had paid an official visit to Finland in Zul Hijjah last year and met with the Finish Minister of Education and a number of her Senior Officials in Finland. A number of Saudi officials from the TVTC had also completed some management training courses in Finland.

It is worth mentioning too that currently there is coordination between the two sides to give an opportunity to the outstanding graduates of Colleges of technology to continue their higher studies in Colleges of applied sciences in Finland as part of the Scholarship Program of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to train technical trainers.
