Her Excellency the Finnish Minster of Education and Culture, Ms. Henna Virkkunen accompanied by the Finnish Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. Jarno Syrjälä have paid an official visit to the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation headquarters in Riyadh on Sunday30th January 2011.

At the premises of the TVTC, she was received by His Excellency the Governor of TVTC Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis and some senior officials. In a meeting which combined Her Excellency the Minister and His Excellency the Governor, they discussed cooperation between their two countries in education and training.

At the onset of the meeting, His Excellency the Governor welcomed the Minister adding that His Corporation is always keen to cooperate with Finland to implement development training programs for its staff and also cooperate with renowned Finnish technical training organizations for management of its training institutions in the Kingdom.

On her part, the Finnish Minister commended the Saudi experience in technical and vocational training and its efforts in training and qualifying Saudi cadres. It shall be noted that the TVTC Governor had recently visited Finland and met with Her Excellency the Minister of Education and Culture Ms Henna Virkkunen and the Finnish Minister of Trade and Development Dr. Paavo Väyrynen.
